Gone Fishin’ Field Report 16/7/22
I told Lea that all the good things she was trying to do in order to make things right were like trying to bribe a judge to look the other way from her crimes.

Telling people that Jesus will improve their life on earth, is playing on people’s pride and greed. When life doesn’t go as planned, they get a cancer diagnosis, or if they are ridiculed for their faith, they will become disillusioned with God.
"I asked him what would happen if Jesus wasn't there? He said he would face the fire. "So what is the only reason you wouldn't go to hell?". He replied "Because Jesus blocked my hell punishment". I asked him if he believed that, and he said "Yes". "
If you are using the excuse of thinking that certain people shouldn’t be saved, then maybe it’s time to take a long hard look in the mirror, and question why you deserve to go to heaven when you die.
Standing outside the shop smoking, was Remi. I gave him a $1m tract and held my breath, for I was pretty certain he would be a Muslim. After not knocking me out, I asked him where he would go after he died, and he said to heaven.
“Now, the hard question – do you believe that or not?”She was silent for a few seconds. “Yes. Yes, I think I believe that”I had no reason not to believe her, but only God knew her heart.
"I asked "Could it be that you don't want to admit that there was a creator, because it would mean that you would be somewhat indebted to Him?" She asked how did I know it was a him? It was a diversionary tactic, designed to throw me off. I told her it was a strawman response, and I needed her to think logically."
So often we think we have Jesus down pat. So often we would write a different script to save mankind. But it wouldn’t work. It wouldn’t include the scarlet thread of scripture, that reveals why He came, why we need Him, and where we go.
"I told her that if you are guilty of a crime and a fine needs to be paid, someone else can pay the fine for you. It is legal. It doesn't make you innocent, but legally, you are allowed to go. That's what Jesus did for you. You broke God's law, and Jesus paid the fine in His life's blood."
Another thing to note about governments and guardians: when their time is over, their spirit departs (v4). Just like us, they succumb to the ultimate statistic: 10 out of 10 people die. All their plans for good come to nothing for them. What is the point of placing our faith in someone mortal, like us? Shouldn’t we be looking towards someone immortal, which can be relied upon?
