God Only Saves Bad People
Audio for sermon.
Hi Everyone Last Sunday the Pastor was unavailable, so asked me if I could do the teaching that morning. I was a bit hesitant to say yes, as I hadn't taught for over 10 years! He said I could teach on whatever I wanted (brave man!). So I decided to expand on the post Whom Shall I Fear? I wrote last year. If you want to listen, you can find the message here. Please note that I was extremely nervous! I have not listened to the recording, as I don't like the sound of my own recorded voice. Enjoy! Blessings.
God needed a sacrifice in order to put sin in it's place. He had tried letting man make this sacrifice himself - but since he was born with a sin nature inherited from Adam - straight after making the sacrifice he would start sinning again!
When I am finally exhausted from my private little pity-party, I am ready to repent of my lack of faith. I am ready to look outside of my minute little bubble, and view the world from God's outlook.
"And I will put enmity between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed"
When we are in trouble we need a saviour, someone who will save us. It is one thing to get away from danger as fast as we can, but it is pointless if we don’t know where we are running to, for it may be headlong into even more strife.
