“The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.” (Psalm 19:1)
No matter where you go you cannot escape the glory of God.
It is even in those things we sometimes take for granted…
even as the wind moves i can hear Your name
its warmth caresses me
and i’m sure that if i could interpret its quiet whisper
it would be singing Your praise like a lullaby.
even as the waves sway i can see them reach for You
they wash over my feet
and i’m sure that if i could swim its length and breadth
i could never escape Your love.
even as the clouds roll i can sense the angels
they kneel at Your throne
and i’m sure that if i could stop them covering the sun
i could never shield Your glory.
even as i stand here i can feel Your holiness
it surrounds my every being
and i’m sure that if i was standing here in one million years time
i would still be in awe of You.
