Hi Everyone
Present today: Pastor Jarryd, Maree, June, Warren & Helen. Mary and Frances met us down at the shops.
I opened with Psalm 17:1-9, 15:
Hear a just cause, O LORD, Attend to my cry; Give ear to my prayer which is not from deceitful lips. Let my vindication come from Your presence; Let Your eyes look on the things that are upright. You have tested my heart; You have visited me in the night; You have tried me and have found nothing; I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress. Concerning the works of men, By the word of Your lips, I have kept away from the paths of the destroyer. Uphold my steps in Your paths, That my footsteps may not slip. I have called upon You, for You will hear me, O God; Incline Your ear to me, and hear my speech. Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust in You From those who rise up against them. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings, From the wicked who oppress me, From my deadly enemies who surround me. As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.

My last conversation was with a guy named Matt. He also said he was a Christian. He wanted to set the rules as to what a Christian is, but none of those opinions matched up with the Biblical definition. We started from scratch with his missing the mark – lying, stealing, blasphemy. Apparently that all magically disappears because Jesus overlooks it. I tried in vain to convince him that a payment for his sins had to be made, and if Christ does not do this on the cross then he would have to pay for it himself in hell. That was offensive to Matt, and it proved to me that he was indeed unregenerate. In the end I had to try and shock him by explaining how bad hell was. He listened, but I could tell there was no heart change. He had heard enough, so we shook hands. Pray for Matt!
So this outreach could be classed on the one hand as frustrating, but at the same time God was glorified because the Gospel went out. God’s plans are higher than mine, so I just have to leave them all in His hands, and give Him the glory!
Blessings
Craig
