I said I wasn't prepared to call Jesus a liar, and wished her good luck with that on Judgement Day, where she was in danger of God saying to her "depart from me, you worker of iniquity, I never knew you".
What a wake-up call she got when she realised that her sins were enough to send her to hell! She started agreeing with what I was saying, but suddenly turned back to her 'God is love and wouldn't throw anyone in hell' stance. Then her understanding of English disappeared, and she feigned a language barrier problem.
He started using some colourful language in order to put me off, so I made the decision to not go any further, as I didn't want the wee boy subjected to any more of the language. He did take a tract, though.
It turned out she was relying on her good works to get her to heaven. I started emphasizing the dangers in this, when she started accusing me of being angry. I don’t know if it was her being convicted and trying to fob me off, or I was really abrupt – it was probably a combination of both.
They were really humble as I managed to go through the law and Gospel with them. They understood the consequences if they rejected Jesus paying for their hell punishment. They said they would give it some serious consideration. They were quite contrite, so I can only leave them in God’s hands.
He said he had done a lot of bad things, and Jesus had set him free. Sometimes peoples’ profession of faith can be a bit sloppy. It can be hard to tell if the person is faking it, or if they are a genuine believer and just can’t articulate it properly.
As per usual, he thought changing his ways and asking for forgiveness would suffice to entering heaven. I pointed out how this wouldn’t work. When I told him the only way was if someone took his hell punishment for him, he looked relieved. So did the other three, who were pretending not to listen.
It was chaos in the room, as they all wanted to talk to (or at) me at the same time. I had to ask them to talk one at a time. One guy came close and took over that chat, so I was able to get him to admit he was going to hell for all the wrong he had done.
I said the same applies with God; all the good you do won’t undo the fact that you have a criminal record that the perfect, just judge of the universe will hold you accountable for. There is only one way to remove your hell punishment. He said “”Please tell me how!”
"Does God love transgender people?". This confirmed my earlier uneasiness. I said "Yes, as much as He loves liars, thieves and blasphemers. So much so, that He offers to take their hell punishment for them. And where do they go if they accept the gift?" "Heaven!", she answered.
